Maria A. Azanova (Pershina)

Born in March 2, 1918 in Palekh Village (Ivanovo-Voznesensk province). Studied at the Vocational school in 1932-1936 (Palekh Art College later). D.N.Butorin, I.I.Zubkov were her teachers. Works at the Association of Palekh Artists since 1936.

She was engaged in porcelain painting. Themes of works: folklore, literature, genre scenes. Exhibits since 1938.

Her works are held in: The State Museum of Palekh Art, The Kiev Museum of Russian Art, The Central Museum of the Revolution (Moscow).
