Born in 1928 in Palekh Village (Ivanovo-Voznesensk Region). He is P.D.Bazhenov's nephew. Graduated from Palekh Art College in 1948. Worked in the Association of Palekh Artists since 1948 (the Palekh Art-productions Workshops since 1954).
